Human Resource Challenge in Nigeria

With the heavy inflow of fresh graduates into the Nigerian market, it has become a big challenge for the job market as a whole.

Despite the huge number of graduates leaving universities and subsequently, the NYSC, companies have found it very difficult to fill up vacant roles. This is largely due to the substandard education system we have constantly dealt with in Nigeria since independence.

Research has shown that just 4 out of 10 fresh school graduates are employable. The rest lack the most basic skills required in the workplace - skills like communication, presentation, writing, and so on.

As a result of this, various HR consulting firms have sprung up in the country over the years. One of such firms is Workforce Group - a company that wears many hats in the areas of providing people, process, and project outsourcing services, training services, employee recruitment, and assessment services, recruitment of technology experts, management consulting services, and most recently, Nigerian market entry strategy services.

For over 15 years, the company has helped businesses streamline their functions; enabling them to concentrate on those that matter the most. Their business model is simple and carries the clients along the way
